Christmas Robe

I think I love this robe more than Kate ever will. One of my favorite blogs to read is SouleMama and I remembered seeing a similar robe she made for her daughter last Christmas. I am planning to make Kate some Christmas pj's and then remembered the robe and it quickly made it's way to the top of my project list. I found the vintage pattern on ebay as well as the flannel Michael Miller fabric. The flannel is so soft I'm going to have a hard time waiting until Christmas to snuggle her up in this! It came together really quickly. I got a little hung up on the button holes--I've only made 1 before. But I think I've got the hang of it now. I should probably put the Christmas projects on hold for a while and think about Thanksgiving. I am cooking the turkey afterall.

So cute Jill! You really are so talented! When do you find time to do all this stuff? I wish that I could make the time.

To die for! I'm horrible with clothing patterns and get a little discouraged that there aren't cute stuff for boys. I can't believe you are making the turkey...daring!!

ps. Peter is going to be Peter Pan again for Halloween, so I'm forging ahead....I might need some of your expertise....

This is ADORABLE! Patterns really intimidate me. Maybe I need to just give one a try.

Hi Jill!
I saw your sewing blog on Jill's (your s.i.l.) my former roomie. This is the most adorable robe! You have so much crafty/sewing talent! What a great blog! Also, I saw that you guys are at Yale, My cousin Katie and her husband Robbie Glazier are at Yale/new haven too, do you know them? I think she is the YW pres or some such calling? Anyway, such a cute family you have and your daughter is a sweet pea!
